The Hygge Approach

Hi, I'm Kim, a Licensed Aesthetician, Licensed Massage Therapist, and Certified Lymphedema Therapist.

For more than 13 years, I've worked in skin health, therapeutic bodywork, and clinical education in both luxury spa and medical settings. My career includes 10 years at Spa Mirbeau and 3 years in a medical spa, where I developed a passion for helping people feel better through thoughtful, individualized care.

Over the years, I realized that the body isn't made up of separate systems. Your skin, muscles, lymphatic system, connective tissue, and nervous system all work together. The more I learned, the more I wanted to understand the body as a whole. That curiosity eventually led me to become a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and expand my practice to include post-operative recovery and lymphedema care.

When I created Hygge Aesthetics & Wellness, I wanted it to feel different.

I wanted to create a space where people could slow down, feel comfortable, and receive care that is personalized to their individual needs. No rushed appointments. No one-size-fits-all treatments. No chasing trends. Just thoughtful care that supports your body and helps you feel your best.

The Danish word hygge (pronounced hoo-gah) means comfort, connection, and well-being. That feeling is at the heart of everything I do, and it's what I hope every client experiences from the moment they walk through the door.
